How to become a Celebrant & start doing something you love!

Yes, demand for celebrants is strong and growing as more couples and families move away from traditional religious ceremonies in favour of unique, personalised ceremonies. Opportunities are created as each new celebrant brings their own style and personality and attracts their unique customers. 

That said, simply qualifying as a celebrant does not guarantee success. Like any profession, thriving in this field requires differentiation, finding your niche, building a strong personal brand, and marketing yourself effectively. 

At the AMC, we do more than just train celebrants. Unlike many other training providers, we equip our students with the essential business and marketing skills needed to stand out and build a sustainable career. Our courses include a dedicated module on setting up and running a successful celebrant business, and we offer a range of resources post-qualification to ensure AMC graduates continue to grow and succeed. Our graduates don’t just enter the market, they create demand for their services.

Wedding ceremonies typically earn £600-£1,500, while funerals range from £200 upwards. Active celebrants may conduct 1-4 ceremonies weekly in peak seasons. Your income grows as you build your reputation and client base. At AMC, you will learn pricing and marketing strategies. (As you can see, just two wedding bookings would already cover your investment in the course.)

Most students complete individual courses in 3-6 months, studying 4-6 hours per week. You have up to 12 months to complete the course (36 months for the Master Certification), so you set your own pace.

Many graduates secure their first paid ceremony within 1-2 months of completion (Several have secured bookings even before completing their training). 

Our course includes practical marketing strategies you can start using while training. You'll learn how to build relationships with venues and funeral directors to create a steady flow of work.

Our AMC certifications combine self-study modules, recorded videos, live online sessions, and most importantly, one-to-one mentoring. While mainly online for flexibility, you get plenty of personal interaction and support. You can learn at your own pace while building practical skills from experts - this sets AMC apart.

The program includes a 9-week mentored segment where you get hands-on guidance from experienced working celebrants.

No prior celebrancy experience is needed. Our training covers everything you need to know. Skills in public speaking, writing, or working with people are helpful but not required - we'll help you develop all the skills you need to succeed.
