Whether it’s a wedding or vow renewal, she writes each one with care, authenticity and genuine passion for storytelling. Becoming a celebrant wasn’t just a career pivot — it was a calling sparked by her own wedding day.

How One Bride Became a Wedding Celebrant
Georgia and her partner tied the knot in 2022, but due to changes in their plans, they couldn’t book a registrar for their new wedding date. That challenge led them to discover the world of celebrant-led ceremonies — and it changed everything.
“We thought our wedding day was essentially over… but finding a celebrant was hands down the best decision we ever made.”
Their personalised ceremony became the highlight of the day. Guests still talk about how unique and moving it was — a reaction that left a lasting impression on Georgia.
“It was like nothing we’d ever heard before. I just thought, not enough brides and grooms know about this. I want to change that. I want to give other couples the same incredible experience.”
From Primary Teacher to Professional Celebrant
Already working in a fulfilling role as a primary school teacher, Georgia was looking for a creative outlet that aligned with her passions. With her husband in the military and school holidays free, becoming a celebrant felt like the perfect fit.
“I love hearing people’s stories — how they met, their journey. Celebrancy gives me that warm, fuzzy feeling inside.”
A Discovery Call with the Academy of Modern Celebrancy gave her the confidence to take the leap — and she hasn’t looked back.
“I’m so glad I did it. It’s been the best journey so far.”
Celebrant Training Success — First Bookings and Friendships
Georgia graduated from AMC with not just confidence and clarity — but also three wedding bookings already in the diary.
“I’ve got two weddings in my first year, in August and November, and booked another for 2025. I didn’t expect to have bookings already before even finishing the course!”
She credits the structured learning and exceptional support network for her success.
“The first three modules were brilliant for understanding the foundations. And my mentor Tara was amazing — she supported me with everything from scripts to recordings.”
What stood out most for Georgia was the welcoming AMC community.
“The student hub and celebrant groups are so helpful. You can post any question and someone will always reply. It’s such a supportive space.”
Beyond training, Georgia has formed real friendships with other North East-based celebrants, even meeting up in person and staying in touch via WhatsApp.
“I’ve even had a coffee with Penny, the course manager! It’s so much more than just a course.”
