Pretty in Pink: Styled Shoot Inspiration in the Cotswolds

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Styled shoots are a brilliant way for celebrants to showcase their personality, style and ceremony vision – and today we’re absolutely thrilled to share some gorgeous inspiration featuring one of our talented celebrant mentors, Tara Heath-Arnold.

Finding Your Creative Voice Through Styled Shoots

Before we dive into the pink perfection that was Tara’s shoot, let’s remember why styled shoots matter for celebrants. They’re not just about creating beautiful images – they’re about showcasing your unique approach to ceremonies and connecting with your ideal clients.

When planning your own styled shoot, consider:

    • What photography style would appeal to your dream clients?
    • Which venues align with your ceremony approach and attract your dream clients?
    • What ceremony elements or ritual inclusions reflect your style?
    • What themes or colour schemes resonate with your brand personality?

Bubble Gum Dreams: A Pink-Powered Cotswold Celebration

When Tara’s bubble gum pink 1990 Nissan Figaro (affectionately known as ‘Lady Penelope’) met the timeless elegance of the Cotswolds, magic happened. This ‘Pretty in Pink’ styled shoot brought together a remarkable team of creatives who balanced fun, contemporary elements with the classic charm of a quintessential Cotswolds setting.

Led by photographer Maria Madison, the shoot centred around the charming pink Figaro, which became both inspiration and focal point for the day’s creativity.

    Blooms Without Boundaries

The floral design, crafted by emerging talent ‘The One That Bloomed’, took a boldly modern approach. Eschewing traditional greenery, the arrangements featured gypsophila, peonies, delphiniums and anthuriums in various shades of pinks, purples and whites, with strategic pops of blue that perfectly complemented Lady Penelope’s bubble-gum exterior.

This all-flower, no-foliage approach created a lush, abundant look that brought both romance and personality to every frame. The contemporary styling proved that wedding florals don’t need to follow conventional rules to create impact.

    A Setting of Timeless Grandeur

The Manor House at Castle Combe provided a magnificent backdrop, its historic stone walls and manicured grounds creating a stunning contrast with the vibrant pinks and playful elements. This juxtaposition of historic elegance with modern whimsy demonstrates how even the most traditional venues can be reimagined through creative styling.

    Unconventional Fashion Choices

Breaking from traditional bridal white, the model bride wore an Alan Hannah creation – a beautiful pale pink dress adorned with a chiffon layer featuring white hearts. The groom complemented the theme perfectly in a baby blue suit, showing how thoughtful colour coordination can tie together an entire wedding concept.

Celebrant Tara blended her own style with the shoot, matching with a flowing pink smock dress and trainers.

Hair and makeup artists created elegant yet modern looks that balanced sophistication with the shoot’s playful elements.

    Celebrating Ceremony Freedom

Tara the Celebrant conducted a joyful ceremony with her vintage car – Lady Penelope as the backdrop, beautifully illustrating the flexibility and personality that celebrant-led ceremonies offer. This element of the shoot perfectly demonstrates that meaningful ceremonies truly can happen anywhere – from grand manor houses to alongside quirky vintage cars!
